the scariest bus ride. ever.
i was waiting for my bus to go home when this guy alighted from another bus and sat next to me.
he looked "not-very-normal".
as in he had
brown hair, looked sorta like an albino, and his eyes were different colours; one was
greenish-brown i think.
he had nothing with him; no bag, no wallet.
i was wondering what he was doing alone & without "belongings",
when he started talking to me.
me, being the friendly girl that i am (haha), decided to talk to him as he seemed young and harmless. (he's about 12 i think.)
so he asked me what bus i was taking & i said 852. (and yes you guessed it, he said he was taking 852 too.)
and the bus took eons to arrive so our conversation was quite long.
the things he talked about were random & weird, and, he kept contradicting himself, which made me feel that he wasn really telling me the truth. (for example where he was going or what he was gonna do)
but i thought,
"he just wants someone to listen to him," so i didn't question him or anything.
even when he asked me for money to take the bus, i just gave it to him without asking him a thing.
and 852
FINALLY came & we boarded the bus.
straightaway i looked for a seat that was next to someone else. (so that i wld be spared from talking to him)
and guess what? just before i sat down he said to me," hey let's go behind to sit down
darling!"i almost fainted i tell you. but i didn't. and i smiled meekly & said, "no it's okay i'm sitting here."
so he sat 2 seats in front of me.
but he kept turning behind to talk to me. (and the things he said were seriously so weird & random that i had no idea how to reply. plus he was talking quite loudly. i was quite sure the whole bus cld hear him.)
and finally i cldn't take it anymore & i closed my eyes & pretended to sleep.
and i could hear him trying to get my attention but i ignored him & continued "sleeping".
my heart was beating super fast & all i was thinking was "please let me reach home soon!!" and at the same time i was praying that he wldn't follow me home!
you had no idea how freaking scared i was!
and just when i thought the situation couldn't get any worse, the lady next to me alighted the bus!!
the boy immediately plopped himself into her seat (
!!!) and tried to resume our conversation.
thankfully my stop was nearing & when the bus finally reached the stop before my hse, i told him, "i'm alighting at the next stop."
and as i got up to walk to the door, he said,"bye bye!"
and i was
SO RELIEVED because "bye bye!" meant that he wasn't gonna follow me home.
and i happily bade him goodbye too.
ALAS.just as the bus door opened & i was about to get off, he called,"bye!"
and i turned to wave & he said the scariest words ever:
" SEE YOU TOMORROW!"
i swear i almost DIED!
all i did was to give him a weak smile, get off the freaking bus & walk home as fast as i could (while looking behind me once in a while)
when i got home i retold my story (hysterically) to mommy & kevin (and my darling brother laughed so hard he almost had tears in his eyes!)
it may seem like i'm overreacting but it was seriously
super scary okay!i swear i'm never talking to strangers ever again.
