girly fun.


last night was spent @ Holland with celest-the-tard [:
spent so long deciding on which bar to go into coz there were so many!
finally decided on one whose name i cant remember. think it had a "Wine" in it. haha

pictures!







the food, ambience & drinks were great. so was the company :D
and it was our virgin experience eating escargots; we were freaking squeamish bout it!
i shall never look at a snail in the same way ever again.

i was cringing la.

i was attempting to tie a cherry knot. but i suck and the stalk broke into 2.

I COOKED DINNER YESTERDAY!




i washed the prawns, lettuce, etc. and squeezed the lime!
while my dearest mother did everything else.
and i was going to stir the stuff when mommy said,"actually, you dont have to stir it"
me: "then it's as though i didn't cook at all!"
mommy:"you squeezed the lime."

but the tomyum was damn good man :D

went vivo today.
bought a dress for prom. it's very..un-prom-ish. haha
initially i wasn't planning on buying anything for prom.
it's like i'm not even the least bit excited for prom sighsighsigh
but it seems i have YET another wedding to attend and i need a dress.
i hate shopping for a specific thing. takes the joy out of shopping.
plus i'll be pissed if i cant find what i was looking for :D

and i shall continue watching the telly. it's all i ever do these days.
besides using the com and eating. and sleeping.
i feel like sucha pig.

and i typed the whole freaking entry with the on-screen keyboard coz the keyboard is spoilt.
i'm so free. and patient :D

what i've been up to the past few days.

TUES

went to watch Quantum of Solace after our last paper (and i didn't shred my entry proof this time, unlike after Os :D)
the movie was okay.
italy is BEAUTIFUL. i was ogling at the architecture the whole time [:
what? were you expecting me to ogle at Bond? come on la he isn't even ogle-worthy hahaha.

after that was kev's dance performance @ UCC :D
brought back so many EL memories man.
i miss preparing for productions omg.
all the rushing around like mad dogs, 923845792 rehearsals, frantic costume changes, vandalising faces with make up, etc :(

the concert was not bad. tho i felt like strangling the chinese emcee (her accent omg)
haha and kev's performance rocked!
he was so cute la.
i was so touched that i actually teared while watching him dance haha
(dont laugh at me leh you damn bad okay i'm some sentimental emo shit)
but his performance was the BEST okay!
hahaha yes i'm biased so what.

nothing much significant happened (unlike the meteor shower last year :D :D :D)
but it was still superr nice hanging out together.

yixuan sucks @ bridge AND daidee,
the music game thingy munkit invented is damn funny,
the Iron Man dvd we were watching died on us at the climax of the movie,
subtly sending a " DONT SUPPORT PIRACY YOU ASSHOLES" msg,
pictures are not with me and even if they were i wouldn't post them coz the guys were gross and it would be unethical to subject you guys to too much mental torture,
i slept from 3 pm yesterday till now,
and ilove2Atruckloads goodbye.

[edit] note to self: do not watch horror movies with kokhao & munkit next to you coz they scare the shit outta you, even when your hands are covering your eyes so you wont watch the scary parts.

i felt so detached when the examiner announced the end of our As in the hall just now.
haha i think my brain didn't really register the start.
studying for As have been amazingly stress-free most of the time.
not that i'm prepared, mind you.
just that i think i've lost the motivation to work hard for my future.
(and i honestly can't convince myself that 4As are the most important thing in the world and w/o them i will DIE.)

yup. so it just feels like yet another hc exam i've botched.
like what kimby said," it's just As. Just the most important exam in our life." haha

these 2 months flew/zoom/whatever by so quickly, it's almost surreal.
but i'm glad it's over. (:
i think i've learnt alot these 2 months.

i've learnt things bout academics, bout ppl, bout myself.
i learnt that the GC helps you integrate stuff (which made my life a hell lot easier thankyouverymuch),
i finally found out what bright & dark fringes are (no, not the hair you idiot),
i learnt that i've been pronouncing 'anode' & 'cathode' wrongly my entire sec-sch-and-jc-life,
i discovered comfort food i never knew existed (:
digress: my mother bought some pastry-like thingies called Bei Teh Soh Cookies.
dont ask me why they have such a stupid horrible-sounding name, i dont know either.
but they're 100 calories a piece! and i consume them by the dozen. :(


i learnt new things bout myself and bout others.
and i really thank God for all the nice people in my life who constantly make me feel loved.
especially my mom.
the poor woman was more stressed than me.
she had to wake me up every morning (which is a highly arduous task as my lil brother will tell you), cook nice food for me, nag at me when i get hooked onto the internet WHICH IS A BLACK HOLE, make sure the fridge and pantry are stocked with food, wake me up when i fall asleep while studying, yada yada yada.
i love you my dearest mother [:


so i heave a huge sigh of relief that everything's over now.
yes i do regret not giving it my best shot, but regret isn't gonna change anything is it?
which is why i'll play like shit now and worry only when the results are out. :D
but if i really end up having to retake As,
i'd give it my best i promise.

christmas lights.


i woke up at 6.30 AM on saturday to run to Macritchie & back.
and ended up mostly walking the 5.5km instead. :D
it's been months since i exercised but it felt like YEARS.
my stamina (and determination) was zero man.
and i felt so bad that ivan dragged his ass outta bed at that unearthly hour just to accompany me. hahaha

after that was shopping with the mother ((:
but most of the clothes were so fugly i honestly cant imagine why anyone would purchase them.
i was in the mood to spend money but there was nothing to buy. argh.
my spoils for the day: a dress, a belt, a pair of Aldo heels. and that was it :(

dinner was Mexican.
The Tapas Tree @ Clarke Quay.
the ambience was great. there was a live Mexican Band & a Mexican dancer.
just that we took a super long time to order.
the names were just too confusing; lamb chop is known as Cordero Con Salsa De Menta.
a simple dish of egg, ham, sausage & potatoes has a name consisting of 6 long difficult-to-pronounce words.
i think the only thing with a name sounding remotely similar to the food itself is Cheese Croquettes. it was called Croquetas De Queso. haha

anyway, Clarke Quay's just so beautiful at night.
so bustling and full of different sights, smells and sounds. yummy.

oh and some of the Christmas lights along Orchard Road are up.
i love Christmas!
it's my favourite season of the year. (:

the photo's all blurry coz just as i was about to take the picture, the car moved. gah. hmm but i kinda like it better like that.


okay back to my physics notes & watching My Girl (:D :D :D)

chem paper one today was HONEST-TO-GOD-EXHILARATING MAN!
better than Hwachong papers.
i tikum-ed almost the WHOLE PAPER. like seriously.
hahaha and i didn't even bother with the calculation questions coz i didn't know what to do with the figures given.
so it was like,
"hmmm, A looks nice. okay next qn, dang what the heck is this?!..okay, B looks nice..."
(repeat for one hour)

lol. and i was freaking scared the whole time and i was repeatedly thinking,
"OMG I'M STUPID. I'M DAMN BLOODY STOOOPID."
and thank god after the papers everyone said it was difficult teehee
so i'm not damn bloody stupid. just stupid. (:

anyway, Pride was awesomer than i remembered.

i am so freaking scared i might just spontaneously combust and die.
i had an anxiety attack just now & i only calmed down after finishing the tub of ice cream in the freezer.

and i found out that to take the june paper, we actually have to go overseas. (?!!)
AND it costs like $200 (or more) per subject if i retake As as a private candidate.
damn it.
i hate myself.
