gave tuition in the morn.
this is the first time i'm mentioning it here but you know what, my 3 tutees are kids of
Gurkhas.which means i get to enter the Gurkha Camp/whatever-it's-called @ Mount Vernon every sat & sun.
it's freaking cool. they have armed guards everywhere.
the place is huge. with swimming pools, ball courts, training areas, etc.
and far far in, where the families of the older Gurkhas stay, it's like a cluster of many HDB flats. the whole cantonment exists like a small separate community within Singapore.
my tutees are very cute & willing to learn (except the boy. but he's the cutest oh well haha)
and that isn't even the best part.
all the guys there have
super freaking hot bods. like seriously.
hahaha and most are quite young (arnd 18-23 yrs old)
and not to mention some of them are very good-looking too
i have to remind myself not to ogle everytime i go there.
anyway, headed over to marcus' after that to hang out & all of us kept playing
DJ Max &
Grand Theft Auto(shooting + running over people with our cars = disturbingly addictive).
marcus was supposed to cook for us but he didn't in the end, and i suppose that's the reason we're still alive & healthy [:
had a very lengthy & INTELLECTUAL discussion with jm about the "i win, you do, etc" thing which was hilarious.
gave everyone a good laugh due the Yi Zhi Mei (Iljimae) blooper [bernard you TRAITOR. i was so embarrassed la.]
oh and of course not to forget the highly amusing stories of jm's drunk self. :D
dinner was Satay & Hokkien Mee @ the huge Bukit Batok coffee shop with all the good food [:
hunted all over for cold Barcadi Breezer haha b4 going to a few playgrounds to chill.
absolutely love these people to bits.
everytime we hang out, i end up laughing till my sides hurt & my cheek muscles ache. (not exaggerating)
and i find myself thinking of the random retarded things we do & smiling to myself like the idiot i am not. [:
we must video jm the next time she's drunk & put her on youtube.
5/1, Monwas almost late for sch today (haha yq you were spot on)
feels extremely weird attending an assembly during which people actually sing the national anthem & say the pledge out loud. haven't done that in donkey years.
the sch song & pledge were the same as that 6 years ago (i still remembered how to sing it. tho i shall shamelessly admit that i have never learnt Hwachong's school song :D)
and i was such a tard that i said half the student's pledge (with my right hand over my heart)before i realised that it was the
STUDENT'S pledge
AND I. WAS. NOT. A. STUDENT.
work was way slack today :D
spent the day reading my book (managed to finish it) & saying stuff like "okay do whatever you want quietly", "Hello if you need to talk please whisper", "EXCUSE ME CLASS DO YOU ALL UNDERSTAND WHAT IS 'WHISPER'??!" and other anal stuff relief teachers say like, " from now on i don't want to hear anyone talking" ETC.
the classes i took were much quieter than the one i took last fri.
either that, or maybe i'm gradually becoming desensitized to the noise.
basically i was paid 65 bucks for reading my book & doing absolutely nth [:
days like this make me love my job.
plus today's kids were really cute. they'd go, "Ms Ng (that's me), may i go to the toilet please?" and give me these super cute & sweet smiles that make me melt instantly. hahaha
taiwan trip soon!freaking eggcited. stella's my roomy haha she sent me this freaking hilariously cute sms asking me to do sth for her. i'd post it here but i'm afraid she'll murder me in my sleep when we're in Taiwan :D
