My Life In Technicolour.

Tues, 31th March


had 2 CME (Civics & Moral Ed/Hao Gong Ming) classes today.
decided against teaching the P4 class coz their book didn't have hanyupinyin & the chinese words looked quite intimidating haha.

went into the P3 class and told them that i was gonna teach them Hao Gong Ming & they were like, "miss ng you can teach chinese MEH??"
Me: " OF COURSE! why cant i teach chinese?"
and i started reading the title of the lesson (in chinese) & some of them started laughing.
and then i read out the first sentence of the text & they laughed even louder.

me: " ARE YOU GUYS LAUGHING AT ME??"
them: " YES!! HAHAHAHHA"
me: " WHY ARE YOU LAUGHING AT ME?!"
them: " miss ng your chinese VERY FUNNY!"

walao funny their head la. and i realised that i couldn't teach entirely in chinese haha so it was something like:

"林先生 blah blah blah 卖 鸡饭 blah blah 手套..
okay so Mr Lim wears gloves when he is selling chicken rice right? would you buy chicken rice from him?? blah blah blah.."

and they started complaining that i was confusing them by switching from chinese to english and back again and wanted me to teach everything in chinese, and i very pathetically said that i couldn't because my chinese sucks.
haha i really did try! but i honestly couldn't. i cant seem to speak more than 2 sentences of chinese simultaneously.

so i finally finished teaching (in half eng/half chinese) & asked them to do their workbook & one of the boys asked me how to write 干净 and i was thinking OMG DIE I DONT KNOW HOW TO WRITE!!
hahaha so i wrote 干 on the board and paused for a very long while before finally admitting to the class "erm I DONT KNOW HOW TO WRITE 净!!" hahaha and they started laughing like crazy & saying that i was lousy :(

but i wrote 净 on the board in the end (which was correct! :D but at that point in time i didn't know) & i checked their text book to see what the word looked like and i was so excited that i was correct and i shouted,"MISS NG IS CORRECT!! [: [:" and they still insisted that i was lousy coz i needed to check the text book. hmph whatever.
and the cheeky boys kept asking me how to write chinese words & after a few words i asked them, "are you testing me?!!" and they said " YES WE WANT TO SEE WHAT OTHER WORDS YOU DONT KNOW!" GOD. kids are so mean can.

and when the lesson ended, they shouted "MISS NG 再见!" and some of them said, "miss ng next time come and teach us chinese again okay? HAHAHAHAH!!" damn mean those stupid dumb dumbs. but very cute right?? hahaha [:

and that wasn't the end of my exciting day in school!
i witnessed a boy being CANED in class! super scary. but i was quite lucky that i was supposed to teach that class. if not i wouldn't have been able to see it. he was caned for hitting the girls in his class. (and other stuff) and the male teachers were discussing and saying things like, "AIYO. hit girls must cane double!" and "AIYO HOW CAN HIT GIRLS? GIRLS ARE FOR GUYS TO LOVE LEH!" HAHAHAHAHA i laughed out damn loudly when i heard that and they were like "TRUE RIGHT?" and i nodded my head vigorously & gave them a thumbs-up :D

after that met celest to go to NUS to submit my scholarship application (yes i couldn't mail it coz i procrastinated til it was too late to send by mail) and walked around my/our future school (CELEST PLEASE GO TO NUS TOO).

headed to Essential Brew @ Holland V after that for good food [:
haven't eaten there in quite a long while but the food was still as good as i remembered :D


stayed there & talked for a soopdoopz long time. i just love talking to her. [:
thank god there weren't many people there coz we were laughing like 2 crazy idiots hahaha.
went to walk around Holland & i bought more clothes for Tyler! [:
i've decided not to walk into any more baby clothing stores coz i cant resist the urge to buy every single cute outfit that i see. heh.


Wed, 1st April

last lesson with Diksha so i brought my camera along:



am gonna miss her so darn much! (her and her "IDEA!"s and paintings & drawings which she always draws for me) hahaha she's really adorable. jm can attest to that :D

p.s. The parents are blackmailing me. they said that if i wanted to drill holes in my wall, i'd have to pack my room and MADE SURE THAT IT STAYED THAT WAY FOR ONE FULL MONTH. omg any idea how hard that is?! normally i'd only pack my room when i cant see my table top, ledge top, chair and a huge part of the floor. and it'll stay spick & span for a grand total of 3 days max and then it'll be back to square one. and i was negotiating the terms & conditions with daddy & mommy was like, "daddy dont worry she wont be able to do it anyway. dont waste your time." asjdfhdkjhgajds! shall show em! gonna pack my room RIGHT NOW!!
