The Earth Is Burning Up We Are All Going to DIE.
during tuition today, i told the kids about
global warming(coz we were talking bout the insanely hot weather) & how if the Earth heated up too much, we would all die.
[at this point, the boy interrupted to ask, "EVEN MY BABY SISTER??!" haha crazily adorable]
i told them about the melting polar ice caps, the rivers drying up, the dying plants
and animals, and so on.
and one of the girls looked at me with the most serious look i had ever seen on her face and asked earnestly,
"Does everyone know about this??"
i.e. "If everyone knew about this, then why isn't anyone doing anything about it?!"
and it reminded me that once upon a time, we were so young, so naive, innocent, and so full of hope. it's like what yq said, when we grow older, we become more apathetic and less concerned about things which do not affect us directly. It's almost as if something in us dies. And as we grow even older, a larger part of us dies and fades away. and we become more and more jaded, and just...not bothered by anything that isn't really our concern.
and that's probably one of the reasons i like hanging out with kids i guess. [:

will update about these few days and
eileen's car accident(COLLECTIVE GASP!) when i'm less lazy.
just finished watching
Les Choristes on Okto. it's
EPIC. (with CAPITAL LETTERS and
bolded to show just how
