i only have 3 New Year Resolutions this year:
ONE. i solemnly declare that I, Melanie Ng Shu Hui the Wonderful, will never sleep more than 10 hours a day henceforth.
i've come to the realisation that sleep is an evil time-robbing monster.
and if i do not change my sleeping patterns, by the time i live to the ripe old age of 80 (assuming i live that long), i would have slept 40 frickin years of my life away WHICH IS ALOT OKAY DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY THINGS I CAN DO IN 40 YEARS??!
TWO. i shall run/swim/exercise regularly. (stella ling i will do it!! [:)
THREE. i will do things which make myself & the people around me HAPPY.
yeah i know for the past few years in which i bothered making resolutions, i never ever manage to keep them but whatevah. at least i tried. a little. :D
anyway, went to keming for the interview thingy with celest ytd. (was supposed to go climb bukit timah hill with rachel etc BUT I TOTALLY OVERSLEPT) we were so retarded we actually cabbed one bus stop coz we didn't wanna walk in haha yup so in the end i got the job but i'm quite scared the kids will bully me/i can't control them/they'll totally ignore me & not listen to me teach/etc. PLUS i'm gonna be all alone w/o celest which is gonna make this 9213842 times less easy to endure :(
i know i look like a glutton eating the ferrero rocher but trust me i'm totally non-gluttonous in real life [:
afterwards we had dinner @ Railway Mall with miss kho & then drinks @ Blooie's Roadhouse. (happy hour WOOHOO)
being adventurous people, we went & ordered the shooters: Slippery Nipple (hahaha the person taking our order actually laughed out loud when we ordered it.)
and it was so lethal we wanted to cancel our Flaming Lamborghini but it was already on the way. and the waitress took super long to light it (my camera couldn't capture the blue flames on top) & we had to down it as fast as we could & she'd pour the milk in when we were done. honestly, it wasn't very nice tho. haha kinda gross actually.

today, i watched Bedtime Stories. it's quite funny [: the kids are duper cute. went shopping, & ate @ Carl's Jr for the first time haha
oh. and i watched Angus, Thongs & Perfect Snogging ytd the guys are kinda cute (:D) i should stop watching chick flicks in which the "dull, ugly girl" ends up with the cute, sweet & nice guy in the end. it just makes reality worse in comparison. besides, cute, sweet & nice guys don't exactly exist anymore. guys like that are either dead, married or gay :( and Hollywood's "ugly" girls aren't even ugly by normal standards. damn the world is unfair.
i kinda feel like reading the whole Twilight series again. okay maybe it doesn't exactly deserve all that hype about it, but then again, so many other things don't either. coughHighSchMusicalcough.
for almost 2 whole days, i just kept myself in my room & tried to finish the series. the thing about me is that i like to read as quickly as i can, so i can find out what happens in the end. yet at the same time, i hate it when i finish a book, coz it would mean that the story has already ended. haha ya i know right. stupid contradictory idiot.
but i honestly enjoyed the series. i think i'll enjoy anything that's not too corny and has a happy ending. [: i know happy endings are kinda boring. but if i read some story in which someone dies/lovers don't end up tgt/etc. (like the Time Traveller's Wife, If You Could See Me Now, etc. ) i'll totally cry & be emo for at least half a day even tho that's stupid & it's justastory. hahaha what? i can't help it OKAY.
anyway, it was kinda nice to live in a fantasy world of vampires/werewolves/etc. for 2 days, but when Day 3 came, it was like BAM! back to reality, back to my dull, boring life :( oh man i think i'll re-read Twilight after i watch Little Nonya hahaha BYE! |

23/12, Tues
gave tuition in the morn & so i missed the buffet lunch. (which was good actually. healthier for my wallet & not-to-mention weight :D) was supposed to meet the others for wii but by the time i went over they were done. ate @ koba AGAIN & made alot of noise as usual. soon they'll recognise us. talked, gushed bout yi hao :D, tried to eat my bibimbap in peace while jm tried to make me mix my egg in (), talked bout our tuition kids & came to the conclusion that we should never let eileen give our kids tuition in future [: (then there was the inside joke bout the carrot-and-stick which showed that jm & i share a brain NOOOO)
then...grocery shopping @ cold storage! jas, eve & me had an awesome time shopping for the FOOD which went over the budget due to coughjascough's horrible aptitude in math in the end we bought too much alcohol & food.
headed over to anna's. her house is very very nice, warm & christmassy [: her whole family was super nice. we were making so much noise & being so rowdy i doubt they could fall asleep. watched Little Nonya & started playing our drinking game.
it was hilarious. and very fun [: rach, eve & i almost died in the first round coz of the 'No English' rule the guys were super funny. kept trying to sabo each other which ended up backfiring. guansen, yongqiang & zhihong drank alot. yq looked like he was sunburnt haha. gs was quite red too but i think he was so black we couldn't really tell :D
and jm you suck man. FUN-FUL :D
i was very tame this time [: totally behaved myself (like the good girl i am) [: albeit one or two teeny outbursts, one of which got mk & anna's floor wet (oops sorry munkit) the stupidest thing was that i knocked over the bottle of beer which kena-ed my very new darling camera & i didn't even flinch. if i were in my normal state of mind, i think i would have cursed/shrieked/flipped/etc. i was more concerned about letting the people around me smell my camera than checking if my baby still worked. -.-
played the pig game which i lost horribly; not coz i'm slow OKAY. i swear the others were damn fast.
did random things like play cards/played the chinese word game(which i gave up playing)/played the englishy game(which yq gave up) jas just stoned throughout both games haha/ helped yq win wreck his psp game :D/ate/listened to music/let munkit pretend he was a vampire LOL/etc.
was supposed to cab home at 3 in the morn (coz i wasn't actually allowed to stay over) but it was raining (& i fell asleep waiting for the rain to stop) so i decided to go back @ 6 instead thus saving cabfare $$$ AND i fell asleep AGAIN. & only woke up @ 7.30am AND i still cabbed back in the end haha coz it was pouring elephants from the sky. stupid extra charges man. just within these 2 months alone, i managed to spend almost $100 on cabfares only omggg i die.
went home, tried not to notice that my folks were pissed, showered, ate, drank gallons of water (was super dehydrated), crashed. alcohol screws up my system man.

was woken up by my mother @ 5+ pm (didn't get to sleep my fill of 20+ hours) headed down to clarke quay for dinner @ Corriander Leaf
the ambience was goood. the food was sodarnfreakingawesome! was a tad pricey but the lamb & steak especially were heavenly i tell you. drools.
strolled around, soaked in the nighttime atmosphere,

went for drinks @ The Crazy Elephant drove by orchard wanting to umm immerse ourselves in the christmas mood but the SUPERHUGEMIGHTYFREAKING crowd made us change our minds. headed to the cold storage near home to stock up on food & wine then homesweethome to watch teevee like a loser [:
met my favourite people @ cine after pangseh-ing my tutee coz i overslept(oops), wii-ed, guitar hero-ed. *i figured "my favourite people" would be more apt than "2a people" or "4a people" since it's a mixture & besides, we all hang out tgt nowadays :D and like what rachel said, "I never want to lose contact with you guys, university and beyond." :D
anyway, we went all the way to the entrance of timbre (and then decided we didn't wanna queue), headed to clarke quay and strolled around for eons before we finally went into Clinic which was kinda cool [: i think we were all quite high (they say you get drunk faster when you drink a variety of drinks. and well they are damn right haha) yq's darn hilarious & out-of-character when he's high man (the WTF thing was super funny) i think i was quite high too i actually bit zh (OOPS), and i recalled playing at some huge wall thingy with the pegs which light up (and i stole 3 and gave one to someone haha. jm i think? i cant remember.) and i know people say that you tell your secrets when you're drunk BUT THAT DOESN'T APPLY TO ME OKAY [: FULL STOP.

18/12 Thurs
forced myself out of bed so i wouldn't cancel on my tutee for the umpteenth time (i needed to try my best not to get myself sacked.) and everything was fine; i was on time, the buses came on time, i reached the place on time only problem was that i went to the wrong floor & knocked on the wrong freaking door. i was so embarrassed i ran away. like literally. don't think it had anything to do with the alcohol from the previous night, but i like to convince myself that i'm really not that stupid [:
night was spent @ my cousin's wedding (yes AGAIN. i lost track of how many i attended this year itself) & i wore the same dress i wore to prom (with a belt this time so that i'll look as though i actually have a waist) will upload photos when less lazy.

met stella, unmac & martin (who is now botak & has HUGE BICEPS haha okay i'm exaggerating :D) & played guitar hero again (i'm now addicted) & my ass totally got owned by unmac. we then watched Twilight (after dinner) which was okay. certain parts of the movie were way too corny man. stella & me were sniggering :D but edward cullen + sunglasses was so funny/cheeky, it sent stella & me into a giggling fit.
and i finally read Twilight [: it's darn good hurry go read! shall start on New Moon tonight. And lastly, I'm unconditionally and irrevocably in love with Edward Cullen. (the one in the book i mean) [: [:
isn't he hot?? no? go and die. bought him a day after i saw Lengshan's Sylar. now not only do we have the same birthday, we have the same camera as well!
anyway, last night was spent @ ECP with a few of my favourite ppl [: we were supposed to attempt to watch the meteor shower but rain + whole sky covered with clouds = cldn't even see a single star. BUT we still had fun; cycling (or being cycled haha I'M NOT 101KG OKAY), playing, eating, drinking (okay we didn't have fun coz the guys have bad taste in choosing alcoholic drinks), and just being ourselves i.e. plain retarded :D
