i'm always buying useless stuff and dragging them home to hog up the little space left in my closet.

Saturday, 20th June.

read Salem Falls by Jodi Piccoult from 2-6am then finally fell asleep.
woke up @ 2.30pm & met yq to go to ECP to play :D

we sort of entered through the wrong entrance and had to walk a distance to the bike rental shop, and i decided to annoy him with "Are we there yet??"s every 2 minutes hahaha.
we rented a double bike because I have a phobia of cycling (when i was young, i was cycling with my brother and we were racing to see who was faster when i crashed into a guy and his bicycle fell on top of me. since then, i walk faster then i cycle. haha)
anyway, i thought a double bike would be safer but that dumbdumb proved me wrong!
he's reckless, scary and dangerous ttm.

him: " i think i can let go of the handlebars."
me: " OMG NOOOO! DONT DO IT PLEASE OMG SERIOUSLY."
and 2 seconds later he lets go of both handlebars while the bike veers dangerously towards one side and i start screaming.

or
me: "omg that baby is damn cute!" (it wasn't that i wanted him to look, it was just that i needed to comment hahaha)
him: "where??" (and turns his head back to look which means he's not even looking at where we're going!!!)
me: " OMG LOOK IN FRONT PLEASE!!"

hahaha i almost died man. imagine something like that happening every five minutes. (also partly coz i can't seem to keep my comments to myself hahaha)

it was a miracle that we didn't even crash once.
I SWEAR I'LL NEVER RIDE A DOUBLE BIKE WITH YOU EVER AGAIN YOU PANGSAI.
but i did have alot of fun though [:

we went to the cable-ski park to look around too and we are going to try that someday! :D
took a bus to suntec and managed to watch a lil bit of fireworks (NDP rehearsals i think, which explains the helicopters @ ECP), donut factory (spicy cheese!), cabbed to the sinseh (his back still hasn't recovered), where i fell asleep in a very glamorous fashion in the big blue armchair while waiting for him.


bought bubble tea from one of the pasar malam stalls coz one guy saw my I♥HC tee and shouted,"hello hwachong juniors!!" and we chatted with them for awhile, got lost on the way to munkit's house (NOT MT FAULT, really. haha), played TapTapRevenge on ber's iTouch, played FIFA!! (it was FIFA right?? anyway, it was quite fun though i kept screaming NOW PRESS WHAT PRESS WHAT?! and i even managed to score a goal :D) ,played 2 hours of spot-the-difference; reminded me of all those times we used to crowd around the the small screen to play Photohunt back in secondary school; nostalgia, kicked rachel off the bed in my sleep, i'm really sorry!!! and guilty hahaha.

Sunday, 21th June.

woke up early and went for mac breakfast.
haven't had that for so long coz everytime i wake up, it's the lunch menu already.
sat @ mac and talked for quite long; eve, rae, jm and me, almost boring zh to tears hahaha

oh and Bernard you suck!
rachel was saying that ber calls her Chew, then jm was like,"oh ya, bernard calls me Ngui." (their sirnames)
and then i shouted,"OMG DAMN UNFAIR!! bernard calls me DUMBDUMB!"

went to Giant to look for some jelly drink that the rv canteen used to sell, went to JP to look @ sneakers (OUR SNEAKERS HOW?? Converse? Everlast??), then i rushed home to bathe & met the 69 people @ PS (the guys are still as retarded as everrr) , went off to meet the family for our Fathers' Day dinner @ somejaprestaurantwithaverylongnamestartingwithH and the food was quite good. [:



Green Tea cake= YUMMM + healthy(??), then I stayed up to watch Freda though i only slept like 3 hours the previous night.

Monday and Tuesday were a blur, nothing much happened just that i realised that i forgot to do quite a number of important things!!(why are we not surprised??) and thereafter melted into a puddle of anxiety (thanks for your reassurances dumbdumb. not that it helped get anything done, it was just that i needed someone to rant to and to tell me DONT WORRY IT'LL BE OKAY. [:)
it's weird isn't it? BIGMAJOR things like being on the verge of getting retained or flunking the A LEVELS don't freak me out at all whereas silly things like making decisions and long To-Do lists and clashing events can get me all stressed up and emotional.

then came Wednesday i.e. today. I went for my medical check up and it lasted for like almost 5 freaking hours coz the queue was so damn @&!&@$@&*# long! and they gave me a tetanus jab which hurt like a bitch and i still have to go back tomorrow coz THEY FORGOT TO TELL US TO FAST THE NIGHT BEFORE. (not everyone needs to fast though, depends on which checkup you're there for.) ahhh, blood tests tomorrow = NEEDLES omfg. super freaked out by needles :(

AND, i have 2 back-to-back camps neither which i have packed for!! ARMY BOYS help me pack pleaseeee.

EDIT: RACHEL AND I ARE GOING TO LEARN FRENCH IN UNI WOOHOO! (i know LPP sounds crude but it really just stands for Language Prep Programme haha) LAND OF THE SEXY PEOPLE HERE WE COME.

Baking Cupcakes.

spastic convo on fb:

had sore throat + cough the past 2 days so i went on mc. 140 dollars fly away omg.
spent tues shopping (bought 4 pairs of shoes within an hour!! many many dollars fly away.)

wed was spent baking with my awesome mother [:
went to Holland V for lunch then to the Cold Storage there for our grocery shopping.
baking muffins/cupcakes (what's the difference actually?) is super fun!
though the first batch we put into the oven became brownies coz we didn't read the part which said ADD 1.5 CUPS OF WATER. hahaha
we had so much fun mixing the frosting and using it to decorate our cupcakes. :D
it was like an edible art lesson for little kids.

the cupcakes turned out super sweet though, just like me. (i'm gagging as i type HAHAHA.)
but i didn't really care coz i had no intention to eat them in the first place!
i just wanted to bake & decorate them.
initially mommy was like, "What's so fun about decorating the cupcakes? i don't see what you're so excited about blah blah blah"
but when she started decorating them, she was like a little kid i tell you! super cute.
kev had to wait for us to finish our art pieces before mommy prepared his dinner coz we were too busy decorating the cupcakes. sucks to be him hahaha.

i was teaching social studies today and the kids were supposed to draw a plan for their classroom (like a town plan of sorts) and i said," okay you may add other things into your classroom as long as it is reasonable and conducive to learning."
and i walked around the classroom & some of the girls added Chemistry Corners, Reading Corners & Science Corners, etc and i was like VERY GOOD! GREAT IDEA and i looked at the boys' drawings and almost died.
they added Gaming Corners (with Xbox, PS, etc etc), Annihilation Chambers(!!!!!), Canteens(as if the classroom's big enough), and one boy even added a Macdonald's!!
and they asked silly questions like, "miss ng may I add a basketball court?", "Can our class pet be a lion??", "Do you think an elephant can fit in the classroom??" etc.
oh and almost every single one of their drawings had multiple air-conditioners in the classrooms. hahaha :D

so many things have been happening lately, i have loads of overdue photos to upload which i shall spam in this entry [:

Tues, 28th April

went to celest's after school to eat, hang out and gossip (:D)
had alot of fun as usual [:
i always have an unlimited supply of food when i'm @ celest's. i love Dolly :D

then met the girls(including EILEEN gasp :D) @ Minds Cafe for Eve's 2nd birthday surprise(since jm screwed the first one up. KIDDING we still love you. or NOT. :D)
played a few games and the last one was some spastic one in which we had to make each other say certain words or do certain actions. haha quite hilarious and retarded.

guess who?? HAHAHA

i like taking photos of rachel she is so cute and pretty and photogenic. (okay that makes me sound stalkerish hahaha)

Thurs, 30th April

went to Double O with celest, pangsai, zw & ah wei and had a great time playing stupid retarded drinking games which celest sucked at. oh and it was my first time in a club leh dont laugh at me please HAHAHA [:

Fri, 1st May

woke up @ around 2.45pm haha. haven't had such a good night's sleep for so long.
went to meet zh and the rest @ Gelare (HAHAHA just remembered the way zh pronounces Gelare :D)
watched Wolverine which i really enjoyed (i love the X-Men) then headed to cheena-town for our overnight K [:
ber spoilt the couch so it kinda became our bed.




had a great time as usual. i really love these guys leh how? hahaha muacks.

Sat, 2nd May

tuition in the morn then slacking at home until 7 plus.
went to meet jon, sarah, weeyong & kimby in hwachong for The Oddball which was an epic failure. hahaha. but we ate the food(which was not bad), koped the goodie bags, took some photos and refused to pay the 6 bucks (yes we cheapo haha)
went to serene mac for ice-cream and stayed there awhile to chat.

the other day i brought the kids to the music room for their music lesson & we listened to songs on youtube and the kids wanted Hot & Cold so i turned it on and they were singing along and they came to this part where it went "you~ PMS~ like a BITCH! " and they totally hollered the word out loud and i was like, "WHAT?!!" and then we all started laughing like crazy.



After the initial spark of attraction, I realise, there's actually nothing beneath it all.

This is gonna be one incoherent jumbled mass of words.


Life's been pretty interesting this week.

RVELDDS got GWH!! like for the first time in RV history(i think?) and i'm just so proud of them though i regret not being able to watch the skit, and also, i realised i that i miss el alot. i miss hanging out with anabel & huihui & the whole group of us. need to organise some get-together soon.


also, went for my HPB scholarship interview which i most probably definitely will not be getting because i screwed up my essay + a few of the other candidates are imba shit. but it was quite fun tho. especially since huiping & a few other people i know were also there. plus they gave us this cute animal magnet which made me damn happy :D


and then thurs came, and eileen called me while i was in the middle of a lesson (i normally dont answer calls unless it's celest or eileen) and she asked what time i ended school and i said 1pm why, do you want to meet me and she said I GOT INTO A CAR ACCIDENT and i was so stunned and i think i freaked out inside and thank god the kids were doing a mock paper so i had time to talk to eileen and stuff. she came to school to find me coz she was in the area & we had lunch together and she was saying that it's kinda sad that the only time she could take time off work was when she had an accident, and all i could think of was that she could have been injured really badly when the taxi drove into the side of her car but thank god she was perfectly alright(not even a scratch) and sitting in front of me nonchalantly eating takopachi. (yes my punctuation marks disappear when i'm excited/worked up/lazy)
and i just really thank God that she's okay.
and anyway i really enjoyed talking to you eileen oh. [:


had lunch @ Billy Bombers (at clarke quay) with yq then met jm, rachel, cat & zh @ IMM to make eve's calender which turned out very nice thanks to my artistic talent OK SORRY I WAS KIDDING. haha i did all the brainless stuff like cutting & pasting which required no artistic talent whatsover but i have to say that i contributed greatly by styling jm's & ber's hair til it was epic (as in i was cutting out the photo outlines & i cut their heads into weird shapes :D) oh and eve, the yellow sun on one of the pages which looks horribly disfigured & elongated was NOT cut out by me.

met on sun to surprise eve @ clarke quay & we were thinking of ways to carry out our surprise and jm was calling eve's mom and her sis and all of us were so excited and happy and high coz we were gonna SURPRISE her and then after the surprise we found out that EVE KNEW ALL ALONG BECAUSE WHEN JM SENT THE MSG TO US SHE FORWARDED IT TO EVE AS WELL.
we almost murdered jm on the spot.

but we still had alot of fun and i think jm's effing retarded blunder made the surprise more memorable haha :D (jm i'm just saying this to make you feel less stupid) and i think i must have put on 5 kg over the weekend coz i ate so much junk not coz i was hungry but just because i felt like eating. but Waraku's really good! i love the pizza thingy with potato & prawn roe or sth (forgot the name) and i love green tea ice cream now (influenced by rachel)
and after that we sent eve to work, sat around talking, went to look @ titbits & cute sushi-making machines in the jap supermrkt and (the rest left and we) ended up sitting along the Singapore River talking (jm, rachel & me).




and we talked til the sun set and the sky turned dark and people slowly started leaving the place & until we realised(or should i say grudgingly acknowledged) that it was really getting late and we should be going home. and we talked for around 6 hours and it was lovely.
yes i still cant believe we talked for so long. i think we sat there from about 6 plus to 12.30AM (yes we are cool like that) haha we talked bout all sorts of things just like the other night. just that this time there were more juicy details (HAHAHA OMG.) and there were random bouts of crying, (many) shrieks of "OMG!!!", crazy laughter etc, and i think we were being a public nuisance oops.
i am so looking forward to our full day of activities next week [:


i know i'm slow but i just watched Susan Boyle's audition and i thought it was really touching and those who judged her and looked down on her (coz of her looks) before she sang should be ashamed of themselves. though, more often than not, most of us are like that too. (some people to a larger extent than others.)

and jon tried to prank call me just now saying he's calling from Harvard School of Business and what-not.

jon: "Hello may i speak to Melanie?"
me: "yes speaking." (haha coz i thought he might be calling from one of the unis or scholarship boards.)
jon: "I'm calling from Harvard School of Business."
me: "oh erm okay."
jon: "you sent in an application last week right?"
me: "erm no i didn't"
jon: "yes you did."
me: "i'm very sure i didn't"
jon: "yes you sent us an application last week." (and here i thought it was some phone scam)
me: "NO I'M VERY SURE I DIDN'T." (i was getting kinda irritated already)
jon: "oh too bad then." (HAHAHA i was thinking "WHAT?? what kind of conversation is this?)
me: "yup. bye." (and i was about to hang up when he said,)
jon: "you're from rv right?"
me: "ya." (and i was like omg how did he know?!!)
jon: "that's a lousy school."
me: "WHAT? no it isn't."
jon: "yes rv's a lousy school."
me: "NO IT IS NOT!" (haha i was getting really cross here and in my mind i was thinking "WTF DOES THIS PERSON WANT?! He's such an asshole." LOL)
and jon was like, " AIYA GO AND DIE LA!!!! I'M JON LA WAHLAO blah blah blah..."

i can't believe i couldn't recognise his voice though.

anyway i brought the kids to the com lab today to do E-learning.
and i allowed them to play some educational games after they finished their e-learning.
and there's this game called Virtual Knee Surgery
which is awfully sadistic and gross & THE KIDS LOVE IT.
they were gleefully slicing open the skin, sawing parts of the bone, etc. and giggling like the silly kids they are. so cute.

Confessions of A Shopaholic.



very apt title considering how much we've i've spent the past few days.
i swear i'll try to spend as little as possible in the next 2 weeks or so. PINKY SWEAR.

school today was exhausting. the guys in my class are SO. VERY. NOISY.
and i'm taking their class for another 2 more days omgarghdiehelp.

a summary of the past week:

Tues, 7th April-
met celest, chiam, zhihan & eng ngee @ vivo for dinner, shopping & a movie before the guys enlist/Marche for dinner(ROSTI YUM)/shopping with the tard(til we were almost late for the movie) while the guys went to do stupid metrosexual stuff HAHAHA./watched Race To Witch Mountain(dwayne johnson's damn charismatic haha)/snuck in another theatre/saw Julius(we were initially sitting on his seat! coincidental or what?)/realised the movie was Confessions of A Shopaholic and high-fived zh & celest while eng ngee was damn sad/etc.
gonna miss hanging out with them. the guys are freaking retarded. :D

zh: "everyone's gonna think that you're retarded for getting so high over a salt shaker."
hahaha but it was seriously damn funny! he was pretending to pour pepper on me and i started pouring salt on his arm for real & by the time the camera took that photo, his arm was SUPER SALTY HAHAHA



Thurs, 9th April-
was my off day coz it was the school's sports day.
was kinda looking forward to it but they said i didn't have to go :(
slacked around/gave tuition/met mommy & kev @ Holland V for dinner/went to play with Tyler again:
HE IS SO DAMN ADORABLE PLEASE. he looks like a hamster now coz his cheeks are so chubby :D

Good Friday, 10th April- (no cable-skiing trip coz the guys cldn't go overseas oh man)
met the usual gang @ PS for lunch then headed to Marina Square to meet up with feng er, weeyong, unmac, renyang & jon (haven't seen them in too long; i miss hanging out with them! esp stella whom i still wont see for quite long! :[ )/ watched The Fast and the Furious 4 which was awesome i still cant believe feng er slept throughout the movie that PIG

oh and jon said something damn retarded! the trailer for Angels & Demons was playing & he was asking,"eh this one anti-christian movie again arh?"
me: "not sure if it's considered anti-christian but it's sth to do with the Church."
him: "walao that Da Vinci damn nonsense one!"
me: "HAHAHAHA it's Dan Brown you idiot! not Da Vinci! Da Vinci's the book title not the author!" and proceeded to repeat the story to feng er :D

haha they're damn retarded. all the dumb jokes and spastic shit but I AM NOT 9/8 _____ OKAY. stupid jon & unmac(who wont see this coz he's probably in tekong scrubbing toilet floors already muahaha)

anyway, met the 2a ppl after that again to talk & just hang out & we didn't go to clarke quay in the end so i couldn't meet feng er & gang + rachael + kimby + damien (all 3 whom i haven't seen for the longest time!)

Sat, 11th April-
met rachel, jm, eve & cat to SHOP :D bought alot of stuff & so did jm & especially rachel hahaha
met ng ah pek for dinner @ Lucky Prata & we took damn long to find the place coz i cldn't remember which storey it was at. we practically had to search the whole building :D quoting him:"don't worry we'll definitely find the place in the end; it's a matter of time." that idiot hahaha

ordered too much food & we cldn't finish but the food was great.
and very sinful(!) especially for yq whose IPPT was the following day :D
and my hand cramped while i was cutting the prata! damn spastic hahaha
then was the bus ride home; me back home & him to zhikai's for booze + the remaining half of the Man U match

Sun, 12th April-
met nh, jm & rachel to shop AGAIN! :D (jm & rachel insist that i'm the cause of their excessive spending & they dont ever wanna shop with me again!) haha went for Flea Titan @ Mount Sophia which was kinda fun [: then nh left & we WALKED ALL THE WAY TO FAR EAST to shop somemore haha. and i still think that jm's "OMG SOMEONE STOLE MY SHOE!!! ...THAT BASTARD" incident is damnfreakingFUNNY HAHAHA OMG remind me to repeat this story please.
then was dinner & Girl Talk til we almost got locked in by the security guard!

love talking to them [: super therapeutic hahaha. we were talking bout anything & everything from boys to tummy fats to inferiorities & insecurities.
i never really used to open up & talk about my feelings & all these other stuff but with them it just seems so easy & natural [:
and i'm just so thankful for all the 2a girls coz back in secondary school, i didn't really use to hang out as much with them (as in i didn't belong in a "girl-clique" or whatever you call it) & i'm really glad that hanging out with them now feels lovely as ever [:
yay love you guys looking forward to this friday :D

and i am the Queen Of Procrastination.

sometime around 1st April, i decided to apply for the HPB scholarship. and i was thinking that i still had a WHOLE LOT OF TIME since the deadline was 15th April.

i honestly wanted to finish the essay by yesterday but i fell asleep in front of the com even before i started on the essay hahaha okay FAIL.
and then last night on the phone @ 12 something (okay more like this morning),
yq: "go and do your essay after this okay?"
me: "dont want la. i'm gonna sleep after this haha. i'll do it tmr!"

and today,@ 4 plus,
yq: "hand in your scholarship application already or not? dont be lazy hor."
me: "HAHAHA i still haven't started on my essay yet!"

and the time now is 9pm and guess what? i still haven't started on that piece of shit. hahaha omg die.
